Corry is the quintessential small town, located in northwest Pennsylvania.
You may not have heard of it or you may have lived here your whole life. Either way you will come to learn on a deeper level, Corry is full of characters.
Our people truly make our little city unlike any other.
Shop owners and entrepreneurs, volunteers, our kiddos, people in every industry from manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, and everything in-between. Our teachers and community leaders, stay-at-home mommas and that guy you see everywhere around town.
You’ll meet them all here.
Originally started in 2022, Characters of Corry is our place to share and learn about those hidden gems within each other. Join us for beautifully rich storytelling and breathtaking imagery of our characters. Told through the perspective of what connects us all. Interviewed, recorded, and photographed by a passionate team who sees the dignity each human being deserves with a love for the community of Corry and the stories each of us hold.
No two stories are the same because each of our characters are unique, but these stories prove that there’s something that ties us all together to make up our community.
Welcome, and enjoy the Characters of Corry.

Meet the Storytellers

Chelsea Oliver
Founder | Writer | Creative Director
In January 2014, Chelsea made the move to Corry and only planned to stay in this new town she never heard of for six months. Instead over the past decade, she has immersed herself in multiple aspects throughout the Erie region and has fallen in love with Corry, its potential for growth, and most importantly, its people. Since calling Corry home, Chelsea has helped fellow small business owners and nonprofits tell their stories and grow through marketing consulting, social media management, and web design. When she’s not working or creating yet another project, you’ll find her in the woods, at a brewery, or curled up with a book, most likely, someone’s memoir.

Morgan Phelps
Photographer | Visual Editor
Born and raised in Corry, Morgan has been training herself in the art of photography for the last 10 years. After starting creatively with nature photography and taking photos of her friends and family, she “finally graduated” to professional sessions and wedding photography in 2020. In that same year, she established her own business, Capture Life Photography. Aside from photography, Morgan is very passionate about her wonderful family, nature, and all kinds of art. When she’s not out shooting for her own business, you’ll definitely find her somewhere in the wild among the trees or spending time with and being the best auntie to her three beautiful nieces.
Sara Culver Provencio
Contributing Editor
A bit of a “Character of Corry” herself, Sara spent her first 20 years of life in 16407. She left to pursue a law degree in California and returned to Corry in 2018 to help with aging family. Since that time she has become involved in numerous local opportunities to serve. As a work-from-home attorney, she’s often on a road trip or posted up at a coffee shop. Freelance writing has been a hobby of hers since she was a teen and her book of poetry won a blue ribbon in the 1987 Sparty Fair. (Yes, that is a big deal.) We are more than proud to have her on our team.
Special Thank You
When we started Characters of Corry in January 2022, our original photographer, Karrie Garde, and the ROSIE photography team jumped to help launch this passion project. Our most sincere gratitude for capturing the vision from the start. And our utmost thanks to Lydia Spencer, who took all of the headshots of our crew.
